Your 11 p.m. Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for July 8, 2024: Hurricane Beryl made landfall just southwest of Houston this morning.
Our local attention will then turn toward the remnants of Beryl by late tomorrow and Wednesday. An area of heavy rain and breezy conditions will zip north and eventually northeast toward the Ohio Valley. By Tuesday night into the day Wednesday we're expecting on and off tropical downpours. Our ground is still rather dry with a moderate drought still in place for much of our area -- so we could use the rain. The issue would be any areas that see repeated heavy rain tomorrow night into Wednesday...flooding could be an issue for some.
We'll remain humid through the upcoming weekend with another cold front making progress into northern Ohio by Saturday. This will bring a few storms through the area -- but a washout doesn't look likely with plenty of sunshine and mid 80s expected both Saturday and Sunday.
