Topwater lures are some of my favorite lures for redfish, snook and trout.
I love seeing them come up and smash the lure on the surface, plus it's a great lure for finding fish since you can cover a lot of ground, and the fish always give away their location, whether you hook up or not.
There are dozens of different topwater lures available, but in this video, I'm going to review the Savage Gear Mudd Minnow.
I'll not only unbox it and go over the specs and prices, but you'll also learn:
- why it's particularly good for redfish
- when the best time of year and best conditions to use this lure are
- the slight modifications I like to make to the lure to catch more fish
- and much more
If you're looking for a new topwater lure to try, or if you're considering the Savage Gear Mudd Minnow, you're going to love this video.
Also, we're not affiliated with Savage Gear or any other company, so you can be sure this review is totally unbiased.
