Success!! I went through the stages of taming the hummingbird and now it comes directly to my hand. I can go outside and refill the feeders and it sits on the clothesline no more than 10 feet away. It now remains on the clothesline guarding the feeder and dives at any other hummingbirds that come to feed. I put up another feeder to encourage the other hummingbirds to choose the one that doesn't aggravate the other bird that has staked the claim. I can go outside and it will come up to me within a few minutes if I have the nectar in hand. If I don't have the nectar, it will let me watch the feeding from the feeder up close. Earlier today I put my face so close to the feeder I could feel the wind from its buzzing wings. It was a great rewarding experience.
My next goal is to try and tame a bluejay that has been coming around.
Guitar videos will start again when I get back from my string of shows in Quebec and Ontario. I just got back from playing at a big guitar festival in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec. I am spending my time on health and practice to prepare for the upcoming shows. I have to go in between seasons of writing/recording and practicing set material for performances. I just had to pay a bunch to get new solenoids for my transmission and I need my vehicle to tour and live in the country.
