Attention veterans and family members! 🇺🇸 In our latest video, we break down the 2025 VA Cost of Living Increase and what it means for YOU. Senate leaders are stepping up to ensure our veterans' benefits stay aligned with inflation and rise alongside Social Security.
Join us as we examine the recent bipartisan proposal by Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee Chairman Jon Tester and ranking member Jerry Moran. Their commitment could mean a deserved boost in compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities, as well as survivors of former service members in 2025.
As part of the proposal, veterans with a 10% disability rating or higher would receive a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) increase in their monthly compensation.
Survivors receiving Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) would also see an increase in their monthly benefits.
This proposed increase is on top of the annual COLA adjustments for Social Security and other federal benefits, ensuring that veterans' benefits keep pace with inflation.
The proposal also includes provisions to expand access to VA healthcare for disabled veterans who are not currently enrolled in the VA system.
Along with this proposed legislation, there have been ongoing efforts by Congress to modernize and improve the VA system for veterans, including increasing access to mental health care and streamlining disability claims processing.
