The Union of Artisans of Kazakhstan conceived the film for the 10th anniversary of the organization. The Union's mission is to preserve, revive and develop the potential of the endangered Kazakh arts and crafts. The organization is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The film was filmed in three cities of Kazakhstan and covered many types of traditional crafts practiced by the ancestors of the Kazakhs - nomads. Masters pass on to each other their products, respect and love as their attitude to the traditional arts and crafts. The film demonstrates the artisans' devotion to the traditional culture and unity in realizing the mission of the Union.
The film ends with a swallow's nest coming into the frame. According to Kazakh beliefs, a swallow can build a nest only in a good place with positive energy; for a craftsman, such a place is a workshop. The master makes a traditional wooden dish, "astau", on which "yet" is taken out - the main dish of the Kazakhs. The oldest craftswoman, who has the status of "Living Heritage", blesses the dish and all artisans.
The artisans of the Union of Craftsmen of Kazakhstan made this film.
