What's up? I am Kudjo
In our previous video, I showed how to download the Slate Digital Hip Hop pack samples from their website.
In this video, I will be going over one of the project templates that I use
to speed up my workflow when making beats in REAPER.
Projects templates are now available in most digital audio workstations.
Given a project template and a sample pack very quickly you can make beats in REAPER.
REAPER makes it even easier by simply saving one of your favorite projects as a project template.
So when you need to do a similar project, simply open that project template.
Given a project, you can select Save Project as a template, Pick a name, and save.
Next, we will close all the projects, and then when we need to open a new project using the template, you can say
Project Templates
Select the project template and boom,
All of a sudden and you have a new REAPER project with the templates.
First on the track template is the lead
On the lead track is a Saurus VST plugin from Tone Two
The patch assigned is an Aftertouch Flute.
Next is our piano track. We have a Grand Piano plugin on this track.
This is a free plugin. Let's take a listen to what the chord progression sounds like.
Next is the Pluck track, 2 VSTs - the Saurus and STFU.
The Saurus Pluck is set to Hollow Gentle.
Let's take a listen to the pluck sound.
Next on our pad track is another instance of Saurus.
Let's take a listen to what that does to the texture of the main melody.
On the arpeggiator track,, I chose to use a Bass arpeggiator from Saurus.
For the synth track, I chose another Saurus, the Big Poly Stab.
For the Bass track, I selected another Saurus instance.
Our second bass track, TAL Bassline plugin for the low sub.
In our next video, we will look at the drums.
