MAJOR CRUISE NEWS & UPDATES - New Cancellations & Plans to Restart by Carnival, Princess and HAL//In this video we share the latest cruise news about how and when cruises will resume in 2021. Which cruise itineraries and cruise ships have been affected by the latest cruise cancellations?
We answer many questions that cruisers have and why the plans to resume cruising are slow. I'll also share some insights into some of the itineraries and challenges to restart, including Alaska and Canada/New England.
Carnival cruises has cancelled cruises until April 2021, and in some cases until several months later. In the latest announcement by the cruise line, Carnival explained that they are making changes necessary to meet the CDC protocols to be ready to sail again.
Princess Cruises, part of the Carnival group also cancelled cruises until May 14. This includes cruises in Europe, Caribbean cruises, Alaska and Canada/New England. We look at the plan for Princess to resume after Carnival cruises in the USA.
Holland America Line (HAL) cancelled cruises until the end of April, however also cancelled more cruises in Alaska, the Mediterranean, and Canada/New England until late summer 2021. In the video I explain what's happening in Canada and Montreal, Quebec to add context to the plans to return to cruising in 2021.
There are challenges for the cruise lines, however they are working to make sure that when they do restart, things work perfectly and there are no mistakes. There were no updates on Test Sailings or trial cruises by these cruise lines and no further cruise news about this.
If you're wondering about Back to Back sailings (B2B), this has been confirmed that it will not be allowed during the start up in 2021, as cruises resume under the CDC framework for conditional sailing.
