Governor-General Sir Arthur Porritt in ceremonial uniform, together with Prime Minister Holyoake meet the Royal Family on their arrival off the Royal Yacht, Britannia. From the docks, the Queen, Prince Phillip and Princess Anne travel to Wellington's Civic Square. They walk and talk to the crowd. Demonstrators go unnoticed at the Royal Family, with Prince Charles, arrive at Parliament House for the Opening Ceremony. Queen in gown of white satin and wearing diamond tiara, necklace and ear-rings. Princess Anne in yellow evening dress and tiara. Prince Phillip and Charles wear full dress uniform.
