In this video I show off a Planet Coaster The Smiler recreation that is quite possibly one of the most realistic projects I have ever seen in the game! The recreation is made by a creator known as Distantz, who has clearly spent many hours ensuring that every element of project is as true to the original ride as possible. The Smiler is a Gerstlauer Infinity roller coaster located at the Alton Towers theme park in Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom and is the first coaster of its kind. The ride opened in 2013 featuring the greatest number of track inversions on any roller coaster in the world and still holds the record to this day of upload. It is safe to say that Distantz has pushed the theme park simulation capabilities of Planet Coaster to the limit in terms of realism when it comes to the recreation of the ride, since its many comploex elements have all been implemented to near perfection, while all of the rides theming elements have also been included. It is no secret to Planet Coaster players such as myself that recreating a ride to this standard is no easy task!
