My second favorite opening, and my only defense against d4 for years in action in a flawless game with 15 moves of theory and 5 moves of a nice attacking finish.
The Semi Slav is a perfect defense because it allows black to dictate the nature of the position. There are numerous aggressive options to choose from, but you can also always play slowly, and force white to prove his opening advantage. In this game we went into deep main line sharp stuff and I knew it better.
