Royal Enfield have recently launched their "backbone" motorcycle - the Classic 350 with the new J platform engine.. Following points really impressed me:-

1. Refinement - That 349 cc engine is an absolute star.. Power delivery is very linear and 90% of the torque is available from as low as 1800 RPM.. They have nailed the gearing as well.. This translates into effortless city/ highway riding.. The engine is really refine as compared to the previous generation Classic 350.. Very minimal vibrations and they don't get bothersome during any rev range.. The engine is eager to rev and speeds of 80+ is easy.. Big big thumbs-up to RE..

2. Chassis - The chassis is more rigid and hence provides good handling.. The bike weighs about 195kgs but as soon as one starts riding, the weight is gone.. Balance is good.. The bike feels planted.. Suspension is slightly firmer than before but performs great..

3. Styling - "Don't fix what ain't broken" is the mantra that Royal Enfield have gone with the styling.. The outline is still the same - the one that is lived by one and all.. This design is ageless and hence will attract a lot of customers towards the brand.. Attention to detail is also brilliant be it round switch gears or paint finish.. top notch..👍

Only thing that I could feel lacking in this short ride was the bite on the front brakes.. The bike stops well but if it had a bit more bite..:) rear brake works well..👍

All in all a motorcycle worth considering if classic themed bike is what you like .:)
