What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the 3: The compact car segment is heating up these days with so many choices on the market it's really hard to say if there is only one go to choice in the market. For 2014 many of the cars in this segment have gone upscale in terms of features and technology and the 3 is going along with that philosophy. It pulls you through a 2.0 L 4-Cylinder or a 2.5 L 4-Cylinder earning up to 40 MPG with the 2.0 L. A 6-Speed Manual or 6-Speed Automatic is available for both of these powertrains. In terms of the technology and safety of this vehicle there is alot of it whether you want Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, or an advanced Smart City Brake Support you have it on the 3. Build quality is also excellent with no gaps in between the materials and soft touch interior accents all around make it a high quality interior. In terms of driving dynamics and engine noise the driving dynamics of the 3 is one of the best in it's class giving much feedback and a sporty character you won't miss, however engine noise is a slight problem here especially with the 2.0 L 4-Cylinder however we suspect most people will overlook that. Compared to it's competitors the new 3 is very competitive making it a well rounded compact car that will certainly not disappoint, however make sure the price tag is right for you and that engine noise as well as rear seat accommodation's is good enough for you.
