The Samoa government with support from the Australian government-funded Pacific Ocean Litter Project (POLP) is rolling out a community education and awareness campaign to encourage people to stop littering and burning plastic waste.
Dumping and burning of waste in public places are illegal activities in Samoa. The impacts of this on our environment are severe and harmful, and offenders are punishable under the law.
Keeping Samoa clean is our collective responsibility. Stop burning rubbish and keep public places clean for a beautiful Samoa. #CleanPacific #ResilientPacific #SayNoToPlastics
