So many PC users, especially the ones who are born in early 90s like to play the old classic Windows 16-bit and DOS games on on their new-age Windows 10 computers. Now the internet provides the resources to download all the legacy games for free. All you need to know if how can make the incompatible and old PC games run on Windows 10.
In fact Windows 10 unlike it's predecessors is much compatible with old programs and games. You can run almost all the old programs and games on Windows 10 if you have 32-bit edition running on your PC. Just install NTVDM feature in Windows 10 32-bit explained here and you are good to go with all the old games and apps. However, as you have to look for alternatives as Windows 10 64-bit edition do not support installation of NTVDM. In this video we explain the simple method to open and play old games on Windows 10 64-bit using a freeware emulator app called DOSBox.
1. Download DOSBox for Windows, here. [ Ссылка ]
2. Download and extract (if it comes in zip format) the old game to your C: drive and put it in a folder. Here, as shown in the video I've the folder name SMINER.
3. Now check the video and execute the commands in order.
This will open space.exe, the game application from the folder in C: drive and DOSBox emulates it on Windows 10.
You can use the keys to play the old game on your PC as usual.
Now if you game comes in a CD or DVD, you need to mount to disk to DOSBOx. when you mount the disk you can enter it and play the game inside it. The DOSBox command for mounting a game CD in Windows 10 is given in our website (link at the top) as here we can't enter it.
