On January 13, 2023, the Boston community gathered together for the unveiling of the first new monument on the Common in more than 30 years — The Embrace. The sculpture honors Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr., Coretta Scott King, their love, legacy, and the shared commitment to justice born from their first meeting in Boston.

And I hope is that it becomes a call to action to see the change we want to see in society.
