Weight gain and hair loss is one of the most common symptoms of hypothyroidism or any thyroid disorders. So in such cases even though thyroid levels are normal or within the rage it is not advised to stop the medicines because in most of the thyroid cases. Symptomatically the patient may not be relived, but the levels can be still normal. But in some cases it can so happen that the thyroid levels may be high, be they may not have any symptoms. So always it is advised to stop the medicines even though thyroid levels are normal, because symptomatically the patient has to feel better. Till then he has to continue the thyroid tablets.
