SESSION OVERVIEW:
Dr. Emma Goodall is an experienced autism consultant, teacher, blogger and published author who combines her professional and academic skills and knowledge with her lived experience as an autistic, to help people understand what it means to be on the autistic spectrum. Recently she published a book called "The Autism Spectrum Guide to Sexuality and Relationships".
In this session Dr. Emma Goodall explains why she wrote the book, and we discuss topics such as:
-The assumption that a person will not be sexually active because they are autistic
-Barriers that make it difficult for autistic teens to understand traditional sex education
-Multiple layers of social etiquette, online dating, and safety
-Why certain concepts are particularly difficult for young austistics to grasp

Paul discovered he was on the Autism Spectrum 4 years ago. Since then he has worked with countless autistic adults and children, as well as teaching parents teachers and students about Autism. He is also an ex-aerospace engineer with a passion for teaching and Emotional Intelligence.
Shannan is a single parent and carer of an amazing 9 year old boy on the Autism Spectrum. She is an ex-corporate trainer with a BA, currently studying a Masters in autism studies with Griffith University.
