A new trailer for Cities Skylines' Plazas & Promenades expansion pack has been released, showcasing its buildings and other features.
Paradox Interactive, the publisher of Cities Skylines, along with Colossal Order Studio, the developer of the game, released a new video to reveal the contents of the new expansion pack called Plazas & Promenades .
In this trailer, we see a number of famous plazas that you can build on some service buildings in your favorite city. These buildings include the police department, fire department, hospital, various schools and public transportation stations.
The Plazas & Promenades add-on will be released at an unspecified date for $15.
Among the contents of this additional package, the following items can be mentioned:
on pedestrian-friendly streets. You can place these streets like other routes in the city and have a green and clean city center from cars and pollution.
Pedestrian areas and three new rules:
Relaxed driving, which limits the maximum speed limit in pedestrian zones to 20 mph on all roads except highways.
Banning the use of sugar, which increases the life expectancy of the citizens of pedestrian areas, but reduces their happiness.
Street music that increases merriment and noise pollution in commercial pedestrian areas.
District Specialization : Districts can be specialized in three new ways: Offices, Dense Residential Areas, and Dense Commercial Areas.
Applying specialization in one area affects all areas of that area. Buildings will look different with specialization and we will see the effect of these changes in the gameplay. Each specialization has its own 24 new wall-to-wall building types.
Utility buildings : Utility buildings are important, but now they can look amazing. You can connect service buildings to each other by choosing the same visual style as pedestrian areas to increase the happiness of citizens.
Also, another expansion pack called Mid-Century Modern, produced by two content producers, will be released at the same time as Plazas & Promenades, and we can see a short trailer of it:
Cities Skylines is now available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra, PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe, and Game Pass can experience Cities: Skylines without paying a separate fee.
