Sometimes called "The Pearl of France" Menton is one of the best places to visit in French Riviera.
Being so closed to Italy, Menton gives you a felling of being more Italian than French, from the delicious food (pasta and gelato) the pastel color of the houses, to its mixed culture.

-Enjoy the beaches
Plage des Sablettes is the busiest and most central of the beaches but some other good options are Plage de Fossan (good for families), Plage Rondelli (sandier and attracts a younger crowd).

-Old Quarter
Take a stroll through the old quarter. Admire historic buildings washed in pastel yellow, pink, green, and blue.
Being an uphill climb make sure to pace yourself and wear rubber-soled sneakers or thick shoes.

-Le Val Rahmeh-Menton Botanical Garden
Some of the rare flower and plant species include Chinese yam, giant Dutchman’s pipe, Santa Cruz water lily, Japanese medlar, Mexican weeping bamboo, and a Mickey Mouse plant

-Visit the Basilique Saint-Michel-Archange
Discover the beauty of the Basilique Saint-Michel-Archange.
This baroque church welcomes every year more than 100,000 tourists who come to admire its facade and its magnificent ceiling mural.
The cathedral also has two towers, a 35-meter high clock tower and a 53-meter high steeple.

►When to visit:
You can visit Menton all year round because it is almost always sunny and there are mild temperatures during every season.
The Spring and Autumn are a great time as the prices are cheaper and it’s less crowded. It can also still be warm enough to enjoy the beach!
