Hey, guys! Great news: Ms. Pat is not going anywhere as BET renewed The Ms. Pat Show for Season 3! In fact, the Season 3 renewal came six weeks BEFORE the most recent 10-episode Season 2 was released in full on BET+ on August 11. In fact, comedian and creator Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams revealed on her official Twitter account on July 7 that Season 3 is almost done filming. Such a vote of confidence by BET can be easily explained: since the release of the pilot episode, The Ms. Pat Show has become an instant hit with viewers. On IMDb, the sitcom has a sky-high viewer approval score of 8.2 out 10. On Rotten Tomatoes, viewers have scored it at nearly perfect 98%, and critics were unanimous at 100% approval. The show is semi-biographical, based on the real life story of 50-year old Patricia “Ms. Pat” Williams and her 2017 memoir “Rabbit: The Autobiography of Ms. Pat.” Rabbit was Pat’s street name in Atlanta, when, at the age of 15, she was forced to sell crack cocaine in order to support her two kids, whom she gave birth to at the age of 14 and 15. It was actually her caseworker, who motivated Pat to become a comedian, and in 2002 she did her first stand-up in Atlanta. Not only Pat’s life story is VERY inspiring, her show is changing American sitcoms by talking about abortion, drug addiction and child abuse. Are you looking forward to Season 3 of The Ms. Pat Show?
