This is a short segment from the CBS show '48 Hrs' examing the case against Dr. Jeffey MacDonald. MacDonald was convicted of murdering his wife, Colette, and two young daughters, Kimberly and Kristen, in 1979 but continues to claim that a band of Manson-style hippies was actually responsible. The murders were the subject of the book 'Fatal Vision' by Joe McGinnis and the TV movie of the same name.
This video features clips of MacDonald's appearance on 'Dick Cavett' shortly after the Army (MacDonald had been a captain in the Green Berets when the murders occurred) had exonerated him. Also included are reactions to MacDonald's interview from Dick Cavett, Bob Stevenson (Colette's brother) and MacDonald himself.
