This 1958 Gibson Les Paul Custom is the coolest 1950s Les Paul I've ever seen! We purchased this vintage guitar from Pat who was its second owner. Pat purchased the '58 Les Paul in the early 1960s and said it already had the gold leaf and berry folk art customization on the front. It weighs in at 9 lbs even and is a perfect playing vintage guitar after a nice refret with '59 Standard sized frets inside the binding.
Apart from the folk art and the finish on the back of the neck, this 1958 Les Paul Custom is actually pretty well preserved. The finish on the front of the headstock hasn't flaked off like many do when the pearly inlay expands and contracts at different rates than the wood around it. There's no buckle rash on the back and there's never been a neck break or repair. This vintage guitar has all the wear and vibe but none of the playability issues that plaque old guitars.
