Plot Summary
A rebranding of the California surfer girl made famous in the late 1950s
feature film and later TV series based on the same character. Gidget
arrives in New York City after a two-year stint studying in Europe. Instead
of returning to the beach, she takes a job at the United Nations
where she becomes romantically involved with a much older delegate
and generally tries to make the world a more tolerant place.
