Horizon Forbidden West follows the path of a Former-Outcast turned seeker named Aloy in a primitive future where machines overrun the world. Set 6 months after the defeat of HADES in 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, Aloy continues her search for a backup to GAIA in order to reverse the effects of the machines terraforming malfunctions of Project Zero Dawn. After chasing down a dead end lead, a friend suggests contacting Sylens. After discovering Sylens stole HADES, Aloy begins her journey into the Forbidden West, a land of new machines and deadly enemies. As a skilled huntress and warrior, Aloy does not hesitate to do whatever she can to save her people and the land.
