Music: "The Drift" by Blackmill
My daughter and son-n-law went on a cold winter (21 F) day hike in the Cloudland Canyon State Park located just outside of Trenton, Georgia. We started at the Sitton's Gulch Trailhead (not located inside the park) so pay close attention to the directions when you use your GPS. From the Sitton's Gulch Trailhead we took the Sitton's Gulch Trail (Part 1) for approximately 5 miles (in and out) passing several spectacular ice covered waterfalls along the way and then climbed 600 steps to the top of the canyon. Here we connected with the West Rim Trail (Part 2) which makes a loop of approximately 5 miles along the rim of the mountain. There were several overlooks with fantastic views of the canyon and valley below. We then connected again with Sitton's Gulch Trail and took it back to the trailhead. It is clear in the video this was my first trip hiking Cloudland Canyon State Park as I made several mistakes in naming the waterfalls. I am sorry about that but hopefully you will enjoy the beauty and overlook my errors. By the way, the pink flag material was placed there as directional markers for the race being held that day. It is definitely worth spending some time in Cloudland Canyon hiking these trails. Enjoy your hike.
