When I first started learning about dividend investing, I found myself searching for the best dividend growth ETF. The challenging part of searching for this information was I would often find emotional or subjective articles and videos on this topic. In this video I objectively analyze all key components of what makes the best dividend growth ETF based on facts and not emotions. In this video I compare VIG and DGRO while looking at the expense ratio, AUM, fund index and fund methodology, top holdings, top sectors, net inflows, yield on cost based on historical results and the historical performance compared to the SP500.

VIG Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF
Fund Index: S&P U.S. Dividend Growers Index
Fund Methodology: Tracks U.S. companies that have raised their dividend for 10 consecutive years. The index excludes the top 25% of the highest yielding companies that pay a qualified dividend (no REITs or Bonds).

DGRO Ishares Dividend Growth ETF
Fund Index: Morningstar US Dividend Growth Index
Fund Methodology: Tracks U.S. companies that have raised their dividend for 5 consecutive years. The companies in the index must pay a qualified dividend (no REITs or Bonds) and have no more than a 75% dividend payout ratio.
