In this video, watch as I go diving inside an old and flooded lead mine (Bonne Terre) to see what they left behind! Today's adventure is one of my best ever, as I'm able to visit one of the most unique dive sites in the world! While diving I explore all over the mine, including some left behind tools and even swimming through some small caves!
The Bonne Terre mine, located in Bonne Terre, MO, was listed as one of the top 10 greatest adventures you can go on by National Geographic, and I got to witness why first-hand! After closing in 1962, the mine was flooded with mineral water, and during the 1980's it became one of the hottest dive spots in the country. The water is crystal clear (100ft+ visibility year-round), and stays at a chilly 58 degrees year-round. Inside the mine you can find tons of mine carts, old tools like pickaxes and hammers, massive piping, and even some cool minerals in the rocks!
This adventure is one of the coolest I've ever gone on, and I think this is one of my best videos ever. Bonne Terre is one of the most unique dive sites in the world, and I'm so glad I get to share it with all of you! I hope you all enjoy the video!
