Civilians injured by the shelling of Kharkiv were packed along corridors at the city's emergency hospital Monday.
Patients patched up recently, lay quietly recovering.
Neurosurgeon Olga Pogorelova said she hasn't been able to rest since the first day of the war.
She became emotional when talking about coping with the casualties around her.
A five-story residential building stood with its side ripped off, people's homes exposed and belongings blown out of rooms.
Local resident Serhii said the building was hit on Sunday, and he came back the following day to try to retrieve what he could.
He also struggled to control his emotions as he described his wife in hospital, after being injured.
Shelling continued on Monday.
