On August 10th 2023, Quake 2 was remastered and with the rerelease of the game came the Call of the Machine expansion. In that expansion SOMETHING was done to finally tie the universes of Quake 1 and Quake 2 together. This is my theory/explanation of what it means and what may come because of it.
