Not only one of the most beautiful parts of Thailand, these parts of Nan province are among the most diverse places in our entire world! In terms of both human and cultural diversity, and in the amount of languages spoken per capita, Nan is included in our worlds most diverse locales.
Of course this is a place that I’ve been wanting to visit for so long!! Thank you for joining me today - here’s a huge welcome to Baan Manipruek, a village high in the hills of Tung Chang District, in Northern Thailand.
Let me welcome you to an extremely special day, and one that started off for me as a blessing, even from the very start. If you remember from parts one and two, this is actually going to be the third attempt for me to try and get all the way up to Manipruek village. As you will notice in the video, the hills are extremely steep, traveling bicycle it is more than a little dangerous when visiting during the rainy season. Having to turn back twice was quite a letdown, but thankfully I had an unexpected blessing happen at home that allowed me one more day for this trip!!
I did make it to the village, but you’ll see I made it only just in time... but I couldn’t be more happy. Honestly this is one of the best days both for Cycling and just for incredibly exotic and welcoming new destinations, literally a place that I had always dreamed to visit. I hope you enjoy this video I hope you love the views, and wow I can still remember that coffee now...
