Look closely to see the tiny chick embryo inside! This embryo has reached 14 days of incubation. The veins are very visible throughout the egg. The dark mass that you are seeing is the embryo. You will notice tiny movements as the embryo reacts to the light. At the base of the egg the air cell can be seen. This pocket of air is essential for the chick as it reaches it's hatch date.
