Blood is very vital cells for us, as it carries all the nutrients which are good for our body. Blood has so many constituents including- protein, oxygen, plasma, RBC, WBC, Platelets and other. Haemoglobin is the major component of blood which carries oxygen to the tissue for various function. Hemoglobin is the only component which has a binding capacity of oxygen molecules that is the reason we get a sufficient amount of oxygen for the proper functioning of our body. the normal hemoglobin level in man is about 12- 16 gm and for a female, it may warry up to- 12-14 grams. although the low level of haemoglobin can be easily understood and diagnosed by pathology person or by a physician, there are various important and time-saving methods for estimation of hemoglobin or to the determination of haemoglobin level in a blood sample. these methods are- (1) Estimation of haemoglobin by Sahli's method (2) Estimation or determination of haemoglobin by colour scale method (3) Estimation and determination of hemoglobin by copper sulphate specific gravity methods (4) Test for hemoglobin level in blood is also done by WHO certified hemocue methods. Hemoglobin level can be increased by consuming fruits and vegetables containing iron including folic acid and vitamin 12. when the level of hemoglobin goes down below the normal level one feels lethargy and fatigue. it's always better to estimate the haemoglobin level in blood.

Haemoglobin can be estimated by two methods-
Sahli's Haemoglobinometer and haemoglobin colour scale.
Step by step procedure for haemoglobin estimation by colour strip-
(1) Arrange all the requirements needed in haemoglobin estimation
(2) Read the instruction which will help you in haemoglobin estimation
(3) Take a given strip paper for haemoglobin estimation
(4) disinfect your finger with ethanol
(5) Prick the finger with the help of pricker pen and allow a sufficient drop of blood to come out which will need haemoglobin estimation
(6) Place the blood over strip paper
(7) Wait for 30 seconds
(8) Now place the stip under the lightest colour shade
(9) Now start moving the strip from bottom to upward direction, this is an important step in haemoglobin estimation
(10) Match the colour of blood with given colour strap,
(11) The point at the colour of blood exactly match with the strip indicates the value of haemoglobin in the blood sample
(12) note down the value of haemoglobin

सहली के हीमोग्लोबिनोमीटर और हीमोग्लोबिन रंग पैमाने।
कलर स्ट्रिप द्वारा हीमोग्लोबिन अनुमान के लिए चरण-दर-चरण प्रक्रिया-
(1) हीमोग्लोबिन अनुमान में आवश्यक सभी आवश्यकताओं को व्यवस्थित करें
(2) निर्देश पढ़ें जो हेमोग्लोबिन अनुमान में आपकी मदद करेगा
(3) हीमोग्लोबिन अनुमान के लिए एक दिए गए स्ट्रिप पेपर लें
(4) इथेनॉल के साथ अपनी उंगली कीटाणुरहित करें
(5) प्रकोप कलम की मदद से उंगली काट लें और रक्त की पर्याप्त बूंद बाहर निकलने दें जिससे हेमोग्लोबिन अनुमान की आवश्यकता होगी
(6) रक्त को स्ट्रिप पेपर पर रखें
(7) 30 सेकंड के लिए प्रतीक्षा करें
(8) अब सबसे हल्के रंग छाया के नीचे चिप रखें
(9) अब स्ट्रिप को नीचे से ऊपर की दिशा में ले जाना शुरू करें, यह हीमोग्लोबिन अनुमान में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है
(10) दिए गए रंग का पट्टा के साथ रक्त के रंग से मेल खाते हैं,
(11) स्ट्रिप के साथ बिल्कुल खून के रंग पर बिंदु रक्त नमूना में हीमोग्लोबिन के मूल्य को इंगित करता है
(12) हीमोग्लोबिन के मूल्य को नोट करें
