Always wanted potato chips? Let's try this salted crunchy lotus root chips! Feel free to try different kind of seasoning to change up the taste.
Salted Crunchy Lotus Root Chips
INGREDIENTS:
425 g Lotus Root
2 cups Water
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
Oil
Spiced Salt
PREPARATION:
1. Rinse the lotus root, cut it into thin slices using a slicer.
2. Mix water and rice vinegar in a big bowl, soak the sliced lotus root in the vinegar water for 5-10 minutes.
3. Rinse and drain well. Dry the lotus root on paper towel and make sure all the liquid are wiped off.
4. In a frying pan, heat the oil to 170°C on medium high heat. Deep fry the lotus root until crispy and golden color.
5. Once it’s done, spread on a wire rack lined with paper towel. Sprinkle with spiced salt and it’s time to ENJOY!
