La Belle Homicide, a famous Courante by Denis Gaultier followed by a Double by Charles Mouton. One of the most famous pieces from the French Baroque, a lovely example of the "broken" style (Style Brise). As typical performance practice for a courante of the period, I have played it "inegale", inserting the implied dotted rhythm that isn't in the tablature. Performed on 11 course gut strung baroque lute by Daniel Shoskes.
