This is the second part of our two part series on how to upgrade a MacBook
Pro. In this video we replace the SSD storage with a new larger drive and then load macOS Catalina on to it.
The problems were:
1: The internet recovery process failed for Lyon
2: The internet recovery process to download the latest macOS would not work
3: We did not have another Mac to download the macOS (formerly OS X) from Apple App Store.
We ended up using our Windows 11 PC to download a macOS Catalina DMG version 15.15.5 file and transferring it to a USB stick using TransMac and Belena Etcher.
