Peach Springs is a census-designated place on Route 66 in Arizona along the original 1926-1979 alignment. It was a booming travel town on the Mother Road until 1978 when Interstate 40 bypassed it and temporarily took Route 66 with it. Here I visit two places, one of them being the John Osterman Shell Station which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. As of early 2022, it sat in ruins. I also check out two historical markers here.
