MIT administrators have begun the process of suspending students who have refused to leave the pro-Palestine encampment on campus. Protesters at Harvard are also facing possible suspensions as the encampments on both campuses approach the two-week mark. Administrators at both schools have so far refused to concede to protesters demands to cut ties with Israel over the country's attacks on Palestinians in Gaza. GBH News' Hannah Reale, who was at the MIT encampment last night, joined Saraya Wintersmith along with Harvard student journalist Cam Kettles.
Next, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force released new breast cancer screening guidelines recommending mammograms every other year, starting at age 40. The recommendation is based on rising cancer rates among young women and people assigned female at birth. The vice chair of the task force, Tufts University's Dr. John Wong, joined Saraya to discuss, along with Dr. Michelle Specht, a breast surgical oncologist at Mass General Brigham.
Then, in the new tennis film "Challengers," Massachusetts locations like Wheaton College and Franklin Park's White Stadium substitute for Stanford University and the Atlanta Open. Boston-based location managers like Mark Fitzgerald are tasked with finding the best location to create a believable world. GBH's Haley Lerner joined Saraya to discuss why Boston has become such a coveted production location.
