Anti-Flag's opening acts were Richmond locals, Ann Beretta and Talk Me Off. You can find my videos of their sets here:

This is my first time shooting The Canal Club and I didn't know what to expect. I knew they had two rooms and hoped for the smaller one (got my wish) because I wanted a little intimacy and to shoot a smaller stage. Their website didn't have much in terms of what was allowed but did have a statement along the lines of, " if the bands don't allow you to film/shoot, please don't."
So what'd I do upon surveying the stage and scoping out shooting spots? I walked up to a security guy and asked what's allowed. Jordan, the tallest bouncer I've ever seen (7'1"), was friendly in that he pointed out where I was allowed to shoot. I explained what I wanted to do and said it was alright as long as I didn't get in the way of the bands and their crew. When he said I could shoot from the side of the stage, I was psyched. It was like shooting the small stage at Furnace Fest all over again...with apologies to the drummer because side views never give them any exposure in my vids!
The side spot where I parked myself gave me a great view but it also doubled as a pathway for band members, road crew, security and sound people to walk through. That's who you saw in my view while I was filming. Remember my phrase, "Warts and all?" That's part of the territory when making a fan-shot video.
In the beginning of the video, there was a sound guy holding a tablet monitoring sound. When he left, a guy with a Pittsburgh hat took his spot. He's a member of Anti-Flag's road crew. And that seven-foot security guard who towered everybody and went on stage to catch crowd surfers? That's Jordan, the guy who allowed me side stage access to shoot this video. Without his permission, this wouldn't exist. The other people to the right, I don't know who they are. I did see one of them talk to a guitar player, so maybe family?
At 40:02, the band brought out Rob Rushing, of Punk Rock Saves Lives. He talked about his group's mission and it meshed well with what Anti-Flag were all about. If you want to know more, check it out: [ Ссылка ]
After Rob exits, Anti-Flag treated us with a medley of classic punk hits at 41:18. I recognized The Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go," The Sex Pistol's "God Save the Queen," Black Flag's "Rise Above," Rancid's "Fall Back Down," Sham 69's "If the Kids are United," and The Ramones' "Blitzkrieg Bop." I couldn't identify the snippet inbetween the Sham 69 and Ramones song...
