Trivia
The film was a big hit and remains the film Bhagwan is best remembered for. It was his first film as a producer-director. He attempted to replicate its success in his next film "Jhamela" (1953) with some of the same cast and crew members, including him and Geeta Bali in lead roles, C.Ramchandra as the music director and Rajendra Krishan as the lyricist. He went on to direct two films whose titles referenced this film - "Shola Jo Bhadke" (1961), based on the title of a song in this film, and "La Bela" (1966), a play on its title.
Dheere Se Aaja Ri Ankhiyan Mein Nindiya (Female) - C.Ramachandra is said to have got the lyrics for this song just two hours before the recording was scheduled. He apparently composed the tune in the car on his way to the studio.
Deewana Parwana Shama Pe Aaya Leke Dil Ka Nazrana - C.Ramchandra's assistant in this film Chic Chocolate, appeared on screen in this song along with his band. Chic Chocolate can be seen playing the trumpet.
Dheere Se Aaja Ri Ankhiyan Mein Nindiya (Duet) - The tune for this song was inspired by the Marathi film song "Anganat Phulalya Jaijui" ("Payachi Dasi", 1941). The Marathi song was composed by Annasaheb Mainkar and sung by Saraswati Rane.
Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke - This song inspired the title of another film by Bhagwan, "Shola Jo Bhadke" (1961).
Shola Jo Bhadke Dil Mera Dhadke - Producer Director Bhagwan Dada saw his fighters dancing at a wedding ceremony and made them dance on the song " Shola Jo Bhadke " as there were no dancers available during the shooting of this song.
