Twin nucleation and growth observed during in situ TEM indentation of a pure rhenium thin film. The twins are observed to interact with and cross a preexisting twin in the foil. The indentation was performed using a Hysitron nanoindenter holder and the video was recorded in a JEOL 3010. More details on twin interactions in rhenium can be found in:
