March Brown Nymphs have incredibly strong legs that make them nearly impossible to break away from rocks. Because of this the only time you see them is when they let go to hatch as they rise to the surface. This means that soft hackles as nymphs are even more productive when fishing these insects. The copper bead gets the fly down, but hold on as the fly begins to swing at the end of your drift and you find fish hammering this pattern hard. We hope you enjoy seeing a new feather the Bobwhite Quail to incorporate into your soft hackle tying.
