Saw E.S. in 1955-Don Giovanni ; the sound track for Svengali; numerous recitals and concerts & have heard all of her recordings from the late 30s to the last recital on London. Re beauty: Flagstad said after singing with her in Fidelio: most beautiful sound she had ever heard from a soprano. The voice did ring; could be whatever she wanted it to be. Listen to all of her recordings. I know: cada persona tiene su gusto. Open our ears & our hearts and we shall experience a great art from a very demanding of herself as of others-lady.
