This is a gentle yoga class for chronic pain. It's common that those suffering from chronic pain may believe that they can't do yoga, but this is not true. There is so much more to yoga than we typically think which makes yoga accessible to everyone. Yoga is not only working through poses, it's also breath-work, meditation, and a way of life. In today's class, I guide you through a gentle vinyasa flow designed to allow the body to move through gentle movements. It's common common to avoid movement when dealing with chronic pain but when you avoid movement, the joints can start to get stiff and the muscles can start to get tight which isn't ideal. With that said, keep in mind that everyone is different and that this is a general yoga flow for those with chronic pain. If something is increasing your pain, stop and hold off on that pose. For all of us, not only those with chronic pain, it's important to take time to relax, which we do in this yoga class as well. And remember to show yourself some gratitude for showing up today and doing something to benefit your mind, body, and soul. 💕
