The Covid-19 pandemic is challenging for everyone and people will respond to their experiences in different ways.
Common, normal reactions have included positive emotions such as a feeling of togetherness and hope, along with negative emotions such as anxiety and lowered mood.
Some people have developed more severe reactions, including grief, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder.
In this recording, Professor Bisson describes what is currently known and introduces the work of Wales’ National Centre for Mental Health, based at Cardiff University, which aims to provide a greater understanding of the impact of Covid-19 on people with lived experience of mental health problems.
