Le Mans winner Nick Tandy makes BriSCA F1 stock car debut with Motorsport News
As part of Motorsport News’ 60th anniversary celebrations, 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Nick Tandy got the chance to drive Tom Harris’ 700bhp BriSCA F1 stock car.
Nick Tandy started his motorsport career in Ministox on short ovals before moving to Mini Se7ens and single-seater series ahead of launching his relationship with Porsche. Nick Tandy raced with Falken’s Porsche team in the ALMS, scoring a memorable victory at Petit Le Mans
However, Nick Tandy has always wanted to drive a BriSCA F1 stock car and his dream came true when Motorsport News and Falken Tyre arranged for him to drive former BriSCA F1 World Champion Tom Harris’ car at Birmingham Wheels, UK.
See how Porsche driver Nick Tandy copes with the power of the BriSCA F1 car on a short oval – a very different discipline to sports car racing at 24 Hours of Le Mans and Ministox!
Many thanks to Motorsport News, Spedeworth and Tom Harris Motorsport for making this happen.
