Here i shared an authentic style of sakkarai pongal which is good in flavor as same as exact in temple style.. Also i mentioned an exact measurement of water for sarkkarai pongal.. Hope will be very useful for beginners and am sure u never get fail in doing this pongal recipe..

INGREDIENTS:
Raw Rice - 1kg
Moong Dal - 200g
Jaggery - 1and 1/2 kg
Dry Grapes -150g
Cashews - 150g
Cardamom - 10 to 12 (crushed)
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Edible camphor - 1/4 tsp (Pachai Karpuram)
Water - 1 :3 1/4 ratio (1 Glass Rice: 3 and 1/4 glass of water)
Ghee -500ml
********************************************************************* NOTE: If want to add milk, can add 250ml boiled milk along with the water ratio I have mentioned ..(250ml milk + 3 1/4 water). ..
