While on a day tour to Bursa, Turkiye, we made a delightful stop at the Kerasus Dag Restaurant. As we arrived, a talented gentleman greeted restaurant guests with melodic tunes played on the Saz, a long-necked stringed instrument that belongs to the lute family and has its origins in the Ottoman Empire. Dating back approximately to the 13th century, the Saz, known for its unique and captivating sound, has been an integral part of Turkish culture and music for centuries. In this video, we had the pleasure of capturing a brief moment of his soulful performance, which added to the enchanting atmosphere of our visit.
