This uniquely illuminated gauge has no pointer needle, but instead, relies on advancing illumination of LED lamps that accumulate in a circle as boost increases. We opened, and discovered bad transistorized voltage regulator, as well as bad condenser. After replacing components, intermittent operation proved to be loose screw pedestals between circuit boards that are stacked up, and carry the power supply through the stack of circuit boards. Cleaning and tightening all stand-off pillar screws proved the final solution. Well, almost-- the last LED bulb is out. Never gets that much boost--so, we are OK.
