The first-ever game played at our new Blitzball stadium in Columbia, Missouri. This game features the #1 and #5 ranked Blitzball players in the world, Adam Knudsen (Phoenix) and Sammy Reazer (Mustangs.) Adam Knudsen, 2022 Cy Young and World Series champion, is starting his new role as the captain of the Phoenix and this is the first game ever for the new expansion team in 2023. As for the Mustangs, their team is very similar to last year's squad. After a frustrating loss in the 2022 semi-finals as the #1 seed, the Mustangs are looking to win their first World Series in franchise history here in 2023. Mustangs acquired Jesse Spratt-Plunkett for pitching depth in free agency in hopes of taking their team to the championship level they know they can reach.
