*EDIT: check part II - EXTREME (link under this read)
After having the Journey's Off Road lift kit and 4x4 transfer case swap done - Then having to deal with issues with that set-up, installing the larger torsion keys and finally installing the s10 leaf springs - THEN, being asked a ton of questions about it all, I figured I'd just put out this video 😎
When I mention that if you want a 2"-3" lift and say "just get the s10 springs and lift kit" keep in mind that means you do not need the rear shackles in the lift kit - You will get anywhere from 2"- 3-1/2" from the s10 springs alone - You could look for body spacers alone or see if the place you're looking to buy the lift kit from will sell spacers separately.... You may have less control of the height you get this way as the rear s10 leaf springs will give you what they give you, THEN you'll lift your front end to match it via the body spacers and torsion key adjustment
*EDIT: YOU MAY NOT NEED THE LARGER TORSION KEYS FOR THE 2"-3" LIFT - You can get the height you want from just the stock torsion key adjustment BUT once you get to 3" or a bit taller you're maxing out the torsion key adjustment bolt. So, you can get the spacers and the rear s10 springs then see how it goes then put the larger torsion keys in later if you think you need them*
Watch this to see the chassis and the parts I'm talking about:
